| Hi everyone, I have installed a SMT5 from PerfectPower ([ www.perfectpower.com ]) today in my Z. It's a piggyback system that allows you to tune fuel and ignition maps. Below you can see a screen shot from my laptop (it doesn't have a LCD screen like the APEXi S-AFC, you tune it up with a PC). Just to let you know that such an alternative exists... I've got nothing invested in this, but I think it's an interesting device. You can have two fuel and ignition maps (pump gas/race gas for example or a more economical map for crusigin and a more aggressive one for racing) that you change with a flip-switch. It's definitely better than the AFC since it can control your ignitior timing, which the SAFC won't do. The new version of the device, called SMT6, can be used as a progressive nitrous controller (it can control an extra injector for a dry system or a nitrous jet for wet systems). All I'm saying is... it's interesting, take a look at their website to find out more. Enjoy.
